The aim of the registered association HAuS, founded in 1994, is to help foreign students of the Martin Luther University who are in financial distress. Funds are collected from membership fees and donations. After verification of the student's situation the financial help is administered at short notice and unbureaucratically, for example by temporary payment of rents, health insurance, subsistence money prior to intermediate and final exams, etc.
